Required Academic Qualification:

At least intermediate or twelve class passed in Humanity and Social Science, commerce or any other field. Studying bachelor level will be preferable.

Required Experiences:

At least two years experienced in social field as community facilitator, community workers, social mobilizer or CBR workers.

Candidates having experience of working in disability sectors will be additional benefit.

Expected Skills and Knowledge and attitudes

1. Good knowledge and skills of handling MS word, MS Excel, MS Power-point, Internet and email with excellent typing skill.
2. Very good verbal and written communication skills in Nepali. At least basic level communication skill in English is expected.
3. Very good skill and knowledge organizing meetings with stakeholders, conducting meetings and making minutes.
4. Good skill and knowledge to write activity narrative report in Nepali and provide information to central office in given format.
5. Basic knowledge of financial management (record keeping, collecting bills, banking transactions etc.)
6. Good advocacy and coordination skills
7. Positive attitudes towards disability and persons with disabilities
8. Good skills of writing case studies

Duties and responsibilities to be performed

1. Prepare district level implementation plan of the activities as defined in the project.
2. Implement the activities in districts with close coordination and consultation to the board of NFDN’s local partner.
3. Collect the data of children with disabilities who are inside the schools and outside the schools.
4. Identify the problems, challenges and needs of children with disabilities who are outside and inside the schools and find possible solution in the consultation with national program officer and board of NFDN’s local partner.
5. Organize meetings and interactions with local stakeholders such as district education office, district assessment center, women and children office, district development committees, NGOs working in disability sectors, INGOs working in education sectors, parents association , school management committees etc. to find out the solution of identified problems.
6. Run campaign, advocacy and lobby meetings with relevant stakeholders to enroll the children with disabilities in schools and to increase their access in the available services and facilities.
7. Prepare periodic reports and submit to NFDN central office in the close supervision and guidance of National Program Officer.
8. Prepare case studies as guided by the National Program Officer.
9. Increase awareness in society about disability and rights of children with disabilities

At least Bachelor Degree in Sociology, Humanity and Social Science, Management or any other field. Master degree holders or studying master degree will be preferable.

Required Experiences:

At least two years experienced in social field in the position of program officers, manager or coordinator. Having experience of disability sectors will get additional marks.

Expected Skills and Knowledge and attitudes

1. 1. Sound knowledge and skills of handling MS word, MS Excel, MS Power-point, Internet and email with excellent typing skill.
2. 2. Very good writing skills at least in English and Nepali language
3. 3. Very good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Nepali.
4. 4. Very good skill and knowledge of program planning, implementing, monitoring and report writing
5. 5. Sound skill and knowledge to develop tools, format and techniques needed for reporting, monitoring and data collection.
6. 6. Good advocacy and coordination skills
7. 7. Positive attitudes towards disability and persons with disabilities
8. 8. Skills of writing news, case studies and articles

Duties and responsibilities to be performed

1. 1. Prepare implementation plan of the project, lead the implementation in project site and monitor in regular basis under the close supervision of admin manager.
2. 2. Mobilize and monitor the field staff and ensure that they are working according to the format and objective of the project.
3. 3. Provide all necessary guidance and direction in written and verbal form to the field staff and NFDN’s local partners and ensure that there is better understanding between centre and local level structures of the project.
4. 4. Collect information from the district and prepare different periodic and activity reports to submit to the project partners and relevant authority of NFDN.
5. 5. Prepare various tools and format needed for reporting, data collection, monitoring and case studies collection.
6. 6. Ensure good understanding and coordination between NFDN central office and local partner.
7. 7. Coordinate and carry out advocacy work in central level with the close coordination and support of NFDN board for bringing desired changes in the education related policies and programs of government from disability perspective.
8. 8. Carry out a review of education related policy and laws of Nepal from disability perspective.
9. 9. Organize project related meetings and consultations.
