VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT at Handicap International (HI),Nepal

Handicap International (HI), an INGO working in the field of disability in Nepal invites applications from qualified Nepali candidates for the following position:-
Project Assistant (Kathmandu Based)
Key Responsibilities:
 Settlement of partner accounts and maintain a financial tracking system for expenses of the partner organizations
 Preparation and logistical planning of events; Maintain filing of the project documents
Requirements:
 Education: Bachelor degree in relevant field
 At least two years’ experience of administrative activities in a similar position, preferably in an INGO
 Practical organization skills, able to work pro-actively through objectives, in a result oriented approach
 Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office
 Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.

Project Officer – Emergency response in Dang (short term & field based position)
Key Responsibilities:
 Supervision of emergency response activities planned in Dang
 Ensure quality delivery of relief materials and early recovery work through implementing partner
 Coordinate with government and other humanitarian agencies for response and relief
Requirements:
 Education: Bachelor degree in any field or matchable experience
 Two years of experience in emergency response, disaster risk reduction, livelihoods or community empowerment
 Ability to coordinate and mobilize team of partners
 Ability to use computer and prepare concise reports regularly
 Experience of working in coordination with the government stakeholders and humanitarian relief agencies
 Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali. Ability to speak Tharu language will be an added advantage.

Log/Admin Assistant: Emergency response in Dang (short term & field based position)
Key Responsibilities:
 Procurement and Logistics arrange and distribution of relief and early recovery materials
 Support local partner NGO for distribution of relief materials, unconditional grants and cash for work for flood
affected families
 Documentation and filing of logistic documents
Requirements:
 Education: Bachelor degree in any field or matchable experience
 Experience in administration and logistic support, preferably in emergency response
 Flexibility in work and computer knowledge
 Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
